" Petu is an Indian restaurant specializing in North Indian cuisine that recently moved into a nondescript strip mall in our neighborhood of Oakridge in Calgary. The interior is basic - but don't let that fool you. The real adventure begins when the food shows up. Every dish was rich and fresh and vibrant and complex. The experience was sublime. This time we had goat vindaloo, chicken tandoori, palak paneer, chili chicken and took a butter chicken home. This was accompanied by ice cold Kingfisher beer and lots of garlic naan. The flavor balance in all the dishes was perfect. The goat vindaloo was spicy, but with beautiful, fresh forward and vibrant flavors to balance the heat. The tandoori chicken had a delicious sear on the outside and was moist and tender on the inside. "
" As a senior couple we enjoy going out for lunch. We have found a hidden jewel in a small strip mall in Oakridge. Wonderful food, vegetable pakora one of the best we have had. I believe it is a family run business, extremely pleasant and helpful. We found this out of the way restaurant, real plates and cutlery, but most importantly fantastic food. Let's get some of our seniors as well as others to support this small family run business. Give it a try you will come back. "
" Last evening we had a take out order for my Sunday family dinner. There were 10 members. Everything was outstanding from the quality of the food to the service. Monica helped select the menu and wow was it perfect. From our grand kids to all the adults we gave this a 5 out of 5 and we are all very fussy. "
